The components of GMG Connect
- The GMG Connect Server is the data storage and information center.
- GMG FlowConnect is the interface for linking GMG Connect to external systems.
- GMG WebConnect can be used to create and track proofing jobs directly by means of a Web browser. It additionally permits the integration of workflow systems that have no interface for communication with FlowConnect.
- GMG o4 Connect links existing GMG software, such as GMG ColorServer and GMG ColorProof, to the GMG Connect network. Processing jobs from GMG Connect are downloaded, and current status messages regarding the progress of processing are sent back in real time.

Production reliability due to central data storage
The GMG Connect Server manages all profiles, templates, processing jobs and status information, and communicates with any number of GMG Connect components. Since the components all access a common, central database, production reliability is increased at all connected locations. GMG color management can be synchronized company-wide to guarantee quality standards across all locations. Administration and process monitoring require much less effort.
Flexible workflows, simple integration
GMG FlowConnect enables bidirectional communication between different workflow components. It offers flexible configuration options, making it possible to meet even the most exotic requirements. Individualized jobs can be created automatically on the basis of XML and XMP data. The installation and maintenance of various GMG hotfolders is this a thing of the past. Using GMG Connect, GMG's software can easily be integrated in workflow systems from e. g. Kodak, DALiM and EskoArtwork.
No dependence on system or location
Thanks to the Web-based user interface of GMG WebConnect, jobs for the GMG software can be created using any common Internet browser – regardless of whether the Web browser is installed on a Windows, Macintosh or Linux computer.
Remote proofing
GMG WebConnect can be used for true remote proofing. Locally stored data can be output on any printer whatsoever within a GMG Connect network – no matter whether the printer is in the next room or another country. The status of remote jobs can be tracked in the Web browser in real time. It is ensured in this context that only those jobs are displayed for which the user or user group in question has authorization.
Improved productivity
GMG o4 Connect enables automatic load distribution among multiple ColorServer and InkOptimizer installations, thereby boosting productivity.
