The partnership between GMG and Sun Chemical permits color-accurate GMG spot-color proofing on the basis of the Sun Chemical spot-color database

Sun Chemical is the world's largest manufacturer of printing inks and pigments, and a leading supplier of materials for, among other things, the packaging, graphic arts and media industries.

Since the packaging market is continuing to grow on a global scale, brand-name companies and their suppliers are looking for more efficient approaches for ensuring dependable and accurate communication regarding spot colors in the value chain.

The aim of the collaboration is to integrate the Sun Chemical spot-color database, which contains more than 250,000 entries, in the contone and halftone proofing solutions from GMG. This achieves more accurate results when proofing spot colors, and color samples or press proofs are replaced by digitally created spot-color samples.
